Dear Sponsors and Supporters:

      We are grateful for your support of the golf classic.  Over the past 18 years your generosity has generated $516,000 for the Burton Center Foundation to enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities and special needs (autism, mental retardation, head injuries, spinal cord injuries and related lifelong disabilities) in Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, McCormick and Saluda counties.

       The Burton Center provides services for over 1,200 people assuring that they have every opportunity to reach their maximum potential.  We have 90 people on the waiting list.  Services provided include: family support (infant stimulation, extended day services, respite services, individualized summer supports) day services for adults at four centers located in Greenwood, Saluda, Ware Shoals, and Lexington (vocational, self-help and academic training), early intervention, residential services (31 community residences, 3 supervised living programs, 9 community training home II placement) and service coordination.

      The Burton Center's central belief is that every person has the right to experience a life with love, respect and dignity; each person has the right to make choices that will affect their lives and each person deserves the opportunity to strive to reach their full potential.
